RICHARDSON TECHNICAL INSTITUTE offers the chance at a free education and paid work experience all in through our RICH TECH APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM. This pathway to a dynamic career in trades lets you take classes and learn your trade while working under an experienced worker all while getting paid.

The program is a 2 - 5 year apprenticeship including classroom learning and mostly paid hands on experience.   We are dedicated to providing comprehensive workforce training, mentorship, and other resources on your career path. Our ultimate goal is to financially empower people to attain personal and economic advancement for their families and the community.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

OUR MISSION IS TO DEVELOP A SKILLED WORKFORCE

RICH TECH APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM goals are to develop a highly skilled workforce through classroom instruction and on the job training. Participants will learn trades from theoretical teaching models and hands on training for jobs available through companies offering employment in the trades.  We specialize in locating talented students and developing them into candidates with the most in-demand skills, which motivates our commitment to finding the best job placements at the highest wages possible.

HOW IT WORKS

High quality education and job training

Apprenticeship provides access to living wage income, career advancement, and specialized training opportunities for workers to grow into their professions.

Registered Apprenticeship is for employees ready to take the next steps in their careers within growing industries. Apprentices get paid to complete on-the-job training while taking supplemental instruction; allowing them to earn a paycheck while furthering their skills.

Each program is structured in accordance to nationally approved apprenticeship standards. This means that our programs meet the needs of employers in high-demand industries, guaranteeing that each program is designed to prepare skilled workers for living-wage jobs.

On-the-job Training (OJT) Work Processes

Apprentices receive 2,000 hours per year of on-the-job work experience needed to become journey-level workers

Course Instruction 

In addition to on-the-job training, each apprentice receives a minimum of 144 hours of industry related instruction per year, expanding their theoretical and practical knowledge of their occupation. This instruction may take place in a classroom, internet, a lab, or on the job site depending  needs apprenticeship standards.
